Do you have a story and photo you would like to share
about your OPR adopted pup or dog? We're looking for some laughs, maybe some tears, how they have changed your life, how they have touched your heart. We will post your photo on our home page and story to the Your OPR Adoption Story page to share with all of our visitors. Maybe, just maybe, you'll inspire someone to share their life with a homeless dog. Please send a photo and your story to: OhioPuppyRescue@aol.com
OPR Spay/Neuter Project!
2009 was a year of great success and impact on the community through Ohio Puppy Rescue. We created the OPR Spay/Neuter Fund. This is currently a collaboration with animal agencies in Pike and Scioto Counties, as well as Shawnee Animal Hospital, to sponsor spay and neuters for those less fortunate. In order to continue our efforts in supporting our community and the pet over population, additional funding is required. We need continuous and generous donations in order to sustain our life-changing work into 2010 and future years. Please consider a donation to enable our work to continue! Donations can be made by adopting one of our wonderful rescues or directly through PayPal. If you wish to send a check, please contact us via email for a mailing address.
If you are interested in adopting one of our rescues, you need to first register at www.ohiopuppyrescue.com. Once you receive your email confirmation and password, you can then log in and apply Please be reminded that answers to most all questions can be found on our site, so look through the site prior to sending emails. OhioPuppyRescue.com is kept current, so if you're viewing this on a pet search site, we direct your attention to the rescue site noted above.

Brooke, our beautiful little special needs girl, was born unable to see. She has known no other life and this handicap does not stop her one bit. Brooke has no problems with playing with her siblings, playing with toys, eating, drinking, making it to the newspaper to do her duty, and exploring her surroundings. She is a lovable darling with a full tail and will make someone who has the patience to train an impaired dog a great pet. She's as smart as can be and watching her navigate around and then pounce on her siblings, or bite at a tail is simply amazing. She's spent most of her first weeks of life relying mostly on her sense of smell to get around and is doing quite well with it. We will start to work on developing her sense of hearing to make that just as keen as her sense of smell. Learning commands, playing with noise toys, and training using scent games and command games will be on our to do list and continued with whomever is deserved of Brookes loyalty. It's very easy to fall in love with Brooke. Everyone who has met her to date has fallen head over heels for her. Once you see this fluffy white charmer, you won't be able to resist her.
